We have now reopened the store to the public for 5 days per

week, but have had to make some changes to help our staff

and customers comply with social distancing requirements.

We are also offering a local delivery service for those who are

unable to visit in person….

Covid-19

Our Covid opening hours are …. Mondays 9.30 - 5.30 Tuesdays CLOSED Wednesdays 9.30 -5.30 Thursdays 9.30 - 5.30 Fridays CLOSED Saturdays 9.30 - 5.30 Sundays & Bank Holidays 10.30 - 4.30 What to expect when you visit? 1. We have closed the entrance from the garden centre, the only access now is at the side of the greenhouse, immediately on your left as you pull in to the car park from the main road. 2. Once at the side of the greenhouse, if you are looking for pond fish, pond plants or pond equipment, please keep to the left and enter through the open gates straight ahead. If you are looking for aquarium fish, aquarium plants or aquarium equipment, please keep to the right and enter through the doors to the right. Numbers allowed in the aquarium section at any one time are quite limited, so it may be necessary to queue please keep at least 2 metres apart at all times whilst queuing. 3. Customers exiting the store, leave through the central path, so if queuing for the tropical section, please keep well to the right. In the tropical section. 1. We have limited the number of customers in the main shop area in front of the counter and till to three. Because of this, if at all possible, please shop on your own, we can not cater for family groups in this part of the store. 2. If the main counter area is full, please wait in the queue. 3. Unfortunately, the layout of the aquariums is such that we cannot safely allow public access to them. We are selling fish, and are happy to advise as far as possible, but it helps if you have done a little research first, and have some idea of what you are looking for. 4. If waiting for tropical fish, there is space for you to stand whilst they are caught. Please wait until there is space in the main shop area before taking them to the till. 5. Exit from the tropical section is through the rear door, to the left of the counter. Once you have left the building, you can either turn left to return to the car park, or head right to visit the pond section. Please pay attention to the arrows and the one way system, keeping left at all times. In the Pond section. 1. Fortunately the path to the pond section is over two metres wide in most places, so as long as you keep left, there is plenty of space to maintain social distance. 2. There is a clear one way system round the shop. 3. There is only limited space in the viewing areas for pond fish, please observe the limits in these areas. If buying fish you must, at all times, stay two metres away from the staff member catching them for you. Because of this it is not usually possible to select individual fish. 4. There is a one way system in place around the outdoor pond plant area, but there the paths in front of the lily vats are two way, please ensure you keep at least 2m apart at all times. 5. As you re-enter the building from the plant area the counter area is on your left, If necessary, please queue back into the plant area keeping 2m apart at all times. 6. Exit is to the right of the counter please keep to the left and follow the arrows. In General. 1. Hand sanitiser is provided at the entrance and counters, please use it. 2. Please be considerate to other shoppers and to our staff and maintain 2m distance at all times. 3. We appreciate that some of the changes we have had to make can be frustrating, and that at busy times you may have to wait a little longer than usual. We are doing our best in difficult circumstances, and apologise in advance for any inconvenience. 4. If at all possible, please don’t bring children into the store, if you really have to, please keep them with you at all times, and do not allow them to run around or randomly handle things.
